well i left my house at 5am saturday morning.... made the usually 5 hour drive in a little over 4 (ok so maybe...just maybe... i speed a little bit). get there and warm up the three horses...... go to make my first pole run on ginger and she makes the WORST first turn she has since she stopped trying to buck me off when i asked her to turn. hmmmmm. well we end up hitting the pole on my last turn (yeah i asked her too hard and she turned her head into it) but on the tape you can hear the boys and their little group start clapping........... seriously who claps when someone hits a pole???
anyway her second run was better but she was still being pissy and crashed me into a pole (that we were clear of till she dropped down on it). so we had a 'come to jesus' meeting in the barrels. and the rest of the day was good....... we ended up picking up 5 points....thats almost $11,000. not bad for less then 3 minutes of work.
OH! so val looked at ginger, and she was out over her back..... so she adjusted her and hopefully that explains our crappy turns.
i ended up staying at Cara's mom's house......which was not the plan, but when we all went out to eat i was pretty much falling asleep at the table... so i got talked into staying up there..... as im loading the next morning, my mom starts yelling about puppies (which seemed stupid cause she knew Val was giving away puppies).... fast forward 20 minutes and we are driving home with a new puppy. its the first time that my mom has her own dog, she always got puppies for us kids, but never herself. she was running around with him all day yesterday. if it makes her happy i will deal with the fact that he puked in my truck twice on the way home.
so now im home, waiting for practice wednesday to make sure ginger is back to normal...AND saturday brent is coming

fred was great saturday, we just trotted his 4 barrel classes. but he was the only 2 year old not bucking. and he loped home everytime (which is the first time he has loped in a straight line lol). its sad when my 2 yro is the quietest horse i hauled that day
